Clubs sound like a bargain. Would be worth getting a couple of Hybrids and leave the 3 & 4 iron in the garage at least until you develop a grooved swing. The hybrids are much more forgiving than the long irons and will give you a lot more confidence.

:D :D My problem is consistancy which i know will come with time, on my last outing i got par on 4 holes but had a mare on all the others, and cheers for the welcome

I mainly use 2 courses at the minute Three locks and stewkly both Nr leighton buzzard, both of which i feel are good value for money and offer a challenge without being to hard

they're not far, more or less the other side of Bedford (I try to ignore the bit down to the M1)
