New Mizuno JPX EZ Range

Am I the only one who feels mizzie's should be blue not orange. Probably avoids confusion with the new John Letters range though.

Bit of discussion about these yesterday. I said that I had heard rumour that the JPX825 (not the pro version) didn't meet sales expectation as people liked the forgiveness but not the cast-ness (if that's a word) so the EZ will replace the "standard" 825 but forged while the 825 Pro remains the compact head.
The looks are a bit odd, but not bad odd IMO, and as a few said, a bit Ping-like.

The new driver range looks good and from what I have been told they are the best range of woods that Mizuno have ever produced, the irons however IMHO look rather cheap and don't have the normal good looking design features that Mizuno normally offer.

I agree with a few of the comments that they are like Ping clubs, rather cheap and nasty looking.

I didn't give the pictures of them a second glance, which speaks volumes, Mizuno have got this so wrong.

The Futures Blue, NOT Orange!

Who told you that? Another Mizuno fan perhaps or Mizuno's marketing dept or maybe the Mizuno forum:rolleyes:

Mizuno really struggle with a decent wood so it will be good if they have something better to offer this time but I hae ma doots!

Trust me these woods will be the best yet and I am sure that there will be a lot of golfers who have Mizuno irons will drop their current brand of driver and make the switch:thup:

Lol,,,, what about the black ones 800 & 825 Pro range they look good.

I can live with black as its a neutral colour as such and doesn't clash too much with their main brand colour, being blue. However, I agree with all the comments that they look like a Ping G-club, maybe that's what their aiming at to get people on board and then progress through the Mizuno range but ditch the orange!

Why trust you I don't know you? Are you going to answer the question or dodge it again?

Mizuno iron players who change their woods this time might just be changing as it's Mizuno :rolleyes:then again you are coming up with another vast generalisation statement with no evidence to support it

That's a very confident statement, I feel you know more or are closer to Mizuno than your letting on....

Believe in the Force...............

I have not yet had the chance to see try it or see it in the flesh but from some of the guys I know who have they say it's good and have already decided to make the move. There will be a lot of 2nd TM drivers/woods going cheap very soon watch this space.

As I thought:rolleyes:

Would you expect anyone close to or on the periphery of Mizuno to say anything else

Give it time and when they hit a store/Pro Shop near you then you will see what all the Hype is, this is the most advanced set of woods that Mizuno have ever produced and the design its self clearly shows how far and how serious they are to get into this market.

They are terrible looking - but a good decision to move the JPX standard to a forged head. I had JPX800 and moved them on for that reason.

My first impression was that they were like PING G25

Ah haaaaa..... they will be doing a forged and a cast version....

Just thought I would cover a point as its come up on the Mizuno forum and on here. So what, Mizuno have made an adjustable driver. If Wilson get theirs out first then Mizuno will be the very LAST OEM to do so... how does that make it desirable? How is it suddenly "trust me" and all that crap that I have seen on both forums. I mean good luck to them but the last JPX woods looked cool at the time, black and blue and matt but they are clearly not that good as I have not herd a word about them since release. I would FAR rather Mizuno made a really ground breaking wood range adjustable or not. I suggest it will be another so so(at best) performance for the JPX EZ woods unless they get a bunch of shaft options and even then.... It does not look like its begging to be hit to me.

PS The Mizuno MP 650 Fairway wood was voted the best fairway last year, there is nothing wrong with some of the Miz woods, its the perception and lack of shafts that is the issue.
