New Irons - a dilema

Oh sorry thought they were an eBay job, I once got a club that was not performing at all well of eBay and I could not get my head round it, that turned out a fake that's all.

My old man had similar with a "full set" of callaway big bertha about 10 years ago.

Hitting a flush 7 iron went about 120 yards and felt terrible. I normally get at least 127 ;)

The driver was comical. Real frying pan sound.

Plenty out there, with regards to your dilemma, get your old comfy's back and apologise whole heartedly, give them a good clean and polish in the hope they forgive you for having your head turned by them hussies!

I love the look and feel of Mizzy's but every time I've been for a fitting the fitter can't find a combination that doesn't have too much spin and the ball ends ballooning and dropping short. Maybe you've got a similar swing...

Ping is the answer....

If your happy with them I'd get back to the Cobras Dave. Get the bag settled early for the season.

Sorted now pal

Picking up the Amps tomorrow after lunch enroute to Chilli dip

back to being a hacker with delusions of grandeur again :whoo:

As a quick, cheap test, you could strengthen the loft on say, the 6 or 7, by 2*, and see how that goes?

Not a bad idea but its the weight that is troubling me.

Besides they irons are currently pristine and i want them looking the best to any buyer.

Mizuno's dont really age well so i dont want to hit any more balls down the range.

In the same boat here. I've only used mine on the range a few times. Not sure I'm a good enough ball striker at the moment to get the most out of them. Really considering moving them on and going back to the JPX's.

The Mp 59's are the only clubs I've owned. When I read some of the comments about more forgiveness and such makes me wonder whether Id be better off trying something else.

I really like look of them though, they're so lovely!!

Looks is part of the reason I thought I'd give them a go. Just stuck them in the for sale section. I might as well take the forgiveness until I'm in a position where im striking well enough to use better players irons.

I feel like such a fool mate

ha

Just spoke to my mate. After he stopped laughing at me he said i could have them back if i bought him a beer or three.

Anyone want a set of 59's?

Only two weeks and three rounds old?

The Srixons are stunning clubs and i know from watching Rick Sheils hit them, they are very long (190 yard 6 iron!) but if i go back to the Amps (which i probably would) i think i will see the year out before doing it properly and get fitted.

I said to you before i wanted the extra forgiveness that the Mizuno would offer, but i am yet to witness it happen. If anything i am now clubbing up which has negated any forgiveness they may offer.

I feel like a man that has just cheated on his model wife, with a marginally less attractive younger model. :D

We have all done it buddy, afew times now Ive bought clubs and soon regretted it.
Just got 2 options make them work for you, get fitted maybe, or try to not take a big loss on them.
Two weeks and three rounds old I think you wouldnt take a huge loss on them
