what a coincidence! I am meeting up with adrian from the players club on friday for a tour of the facilities and a knock on the watergarden, hoping to get a bronze membership and maintain a handicap. friend request sent!

If you want somewhere cheap, cheerful and relaxed to play, I joined my brother in law at Woodlands last weekend. The course won't win any prizes, but it does have some decent challenges and interesting holes with a fair bit of water to contend with, and it's good value at less than £20 for a round.

I'd be happy to give you a shout next time I pay a visit. Or if you wanted to come a bit further up the M5/A38. There's a few of us on here from Bristol and north of Bristol.

As HDA said, Woodlands is ok. The Signature course has some great holes and they're still in the middle of lengthening and re-building some of the teeing areas.

Thornbury is great value also. I used to be a member there and the course is ALWAYS in good nick despite heavy traffic.
