New Footjoy

Well, I can honestly say I won't be buying any....part from the "rainbow" ones, the rest are okish but its that bloody great FJ plastered all over the sides.....

Just no.....!!!!

Just as well i'm not a serious golfer

Oh well, I'm not a serious golfer and I'm a tit, it just gets better.

I'd like to see them try.

Again try if you must but I know who'd come off worse.

Each to their own, sometimes it's better to remain silent and be thought a idiot than to speak, or write in the above instances and remove all doubt.

They may not be a tit, but the clobber they wear gives the impression that they like to look like one at least. ;)

Seen them all over social media all day and they aren't growing on me, even the other colours on offer. I think these need to be seen first but I'm not overly thrilled so far. Bit too garish for me

interested to hear why you think that Stu. They are waterproof and will wipe clean much easier than leather

I wasn't aware they are waterproof, I think the colour way is more of a summer colour. It would be a shame to get them covered in mud!!

If you need anyone to try them I'm a size 9

Quite like the white/grey ones, but the other choices don't really float my boat.
I'm a big FJ fan as I find they always fit me straight from the box, quite happy to order sight unseen knowing I am not going to get problems with them, fit wise at least.
Appreciate they are waterproof, but on style alone I would wear these as a summer shoe.

Sweepstake on when they're banned for leaving marks in greens?
The SoftSpikes Pulsar cleats of the FreeStyle are very different to the ones on the adizero shoes (their own proprietary ThinTech) that had a number of clubs ban them- they had very straight edges, these have a 'pads' - so I wouldn't forsee any issues

I tend to prefer a more traditional looking shoe so those aren't for me.

These styles also seemed to be designed primarily for perfectly manicured well drained courses in Arizona or Florida rather than soggy British parkland courses.

There is that word "traditional" again! Traditional as far back as the 1920's

they do look a bit like rock climbing shoes, which does not put me off TBH. However i could not see myself buying another pair of FJ again. last 3 pairs all let in water in the first couple of wears. its more than looks at the end of the day.

Which is probably as long as golf specific shoes have been made, so in golf shoe terms I am happy to say "traditional". ;)

They were the street shoes of the day with spikes. It was either Spalding or Wilson that added the saddle. You want traditional go back hundreds of years with the boots with the metal tackets

What are they like width wise mike ?

Never had a bad pair of FJ's, will be considered when next looking for a pair.

come in the FJ Medium and Wide fittings
I'm 7.5W in them so it same as Hyperflex, DNA Contour Casual, Dry Joys Tour
Icon I seem to be 8W in

Cheers - should be the same as my casuals then

Like the look of the BOA ones

Must admit that I think FJ are overpriced and generally ugly shoes; these however are truly gross like sketchers offerings last year.

As a FJ fan (I might the odd pair of theirs) I don't like these at first look. I will have a look in the shops when they are out and delivered but on first sight its a NO from me

Would they be (allowed to be) sold by the Pro Shop at NZGC? Or even allowed on the course?
