New Footjoy

I agree, it's all getting a bit silly, I'm all for a bit of fashion and style but these are just pig ugly!!

They look like climbing shoes.

We've got a bit of a trek up our 1st and 5th holes, but no need for these FJ crampons

The Hyperflex was a fantastic innovation but the hero colour has since been discontinued, quite possibly because it was hideous.I'm reserving judgement till I see the full colour range and try a pair on. This is just the statement shoe designed to look like the tree frog that inspired it...

Just No! No Footjoy! Stop it! Bad Footjoy!

I think I missed the memo where they put a colour blind lunatic in charge of the R&D dept.

They look like a cross between the Hyperflex (Which whilst i think are ugly, i do have a pair), and the M:project shoe (as the nubs when around the shoe).

Oh dear - having recently moved back to using the FJ DNA and Casual Tour they look horrific

I am sure they are just one in a range of many shoes aiming to appeal to different ages and fashion sensibilities. But as I always say, in the list of people who are qualified to make statements on what is fashionable and what is not, golfers are towards the bottom of that list. ;)

I really don't get how people can't see this. You can't launch a new shoe range with a subtly toned hero colour. It just won't leap off the page and grab people's attention. I guarantee that when people see the full colour range they'll be loads of naysayers standing in line with credit cards in hand...

I see why they've done it, it's a marketing ploy to tie into the Tree Frog concept, they're the same colours as the colourful little chap we are supposed to associate with the shoes. Okay, might not be to everyone's tastes, but I think it remains to be seen whether they represent a real improvment in stability. FJ are no mugs, this is the concept car if you like, I'm sure muted colours will follow. It's got us talking and that's what they want. I for one would like to give them a try and see if they offer more comfort and feel better trough the swing. If they do, I'll be keeping an eye out...

As a proud owner of Icons, Hyperflex and DryJoy Casuals I can safely say FJ make serious premium shoes.

Edit - written as the 3 messages above came in!

I like the look of them and would wear them if the felt good on my feet. There are black and white options if you don't fancy the the more colourful options.

FJ have to compete in all areas of "golf fashion" like adidas, Nike & Puma

The adizeros sole is rigid whereas the FJ sole is soft and flexible

From what I saw it seemed to be more the make up of the cleats as opposed to the soles - seen the same imprints happening with the DNA and Hyperflex recently

As I have never seen any issues with the adiZero, or any shoe for that matter, I will bow to your more informed reasoning 😋

The only damage I can remember seeing was in the old days of metal spikes with their slash marks all over the greens
