Well, new to me any way. My current driver is a Cobra F-Speed 10.5 in regular that I have inherited down the line. Lately I have been thinking that maybe I need to try an S shafted driver (No idea of swing speed).
This concluded on Sunday when my driving was all over the shop.
My usual bad shot is a hefty slice that i can control on the range with all the reference points around but that can get a bit wild out on the course. Sunday's round had pulls and hooks as well as the slices. Didn't know where to aim.
So, decided to keep an eye out for suitable clubs and put a cheeky bid in for an R9 with Graphite Design AD MD-6 S shaft after seeing some decent reviews.
So won the auction and picked it up tonight and headed for the range. ****, wow, night and day to my old driver. Straight, low dispersion, great flight, seemed like a good bit of extra distance as well. No idea of the distance as our markers stop at 150 yds. The odd nicely shaped soft fade alongside bullet straight hits. (I did try but could not hit a draw with it)
And, a much nicer sound off the head than the Cobra. No doubt it will all go to **** out on the course but for now, very, very happy.
