Just the one, I think. But my short term memory can let me down sometimes.
I rely on my Google calendar for this job as otherwise I'd only remember 1 or 2 😄. I put all my golf bookings on there and just scroll back when questions like this are asked. It's both handy and also quite nice to look back and be reminded.

I took the clubs to two new places this year, Florida and Dorset:

- North Palm Beach Country Club (typical Florida style course designed by Jack Nicklaus)
- The Park West Palm Beach (new Gil Hanse course built over a sand dune, incredible place just fantastic)
- Came Down (on top of the downs so great views and good drainage)
- Lyme Regis (interesting cliff top course, not too challenging)
- Isle of Purbeck (bit muddy in October, views over to Bournemouth would be nice in the summer)

Played most of those I had planned, and added just one extra:
  • Bellavista (Spain) - simply fantastic value
  • Ross-on-Wye
  • Cleeve Hill
  • Isla Canela (Spain)
  • Quinta da Ria (Portugal)
Thurlestone was lost to the weather - twice.

I lived in Lymington for a year and played Lyme Regis on a lovely English day with the wife, on our way to play a 72 hole comp at St. Mellion, (she came second) but never got to play Isle of Purbeck unfortunately.

Wildernesse, Kent - loved it and joined it.
West Surrey - very nice course and company. Horrific weather!
Addington Palace, Surrey - loved it.
Wrotham Heath, Kent - liked it, with 3 stunning holes.
Ladybank, Fife - loved it and would join it in a heartbeat if I lived in Scotland.
Links at Spanish Bay, California - very enjoyable, albeit a little "artificial" feeling.
Pebble Beach, California - just amazing. True bucket list course ticked off. Helped I chipped in for birdie on 17th, just in front of Tom Watson's plaque!
Spyglass Hill - just amazing. True bucket list course ticked off.
Ocean Course, Half Moon Bay, California - nice course, with some lovely holes along the Pacific ocean.
Thorndon, Essex - loved it.
Swinley Forest - loved it.
Crowborough, Surrey - liked it, but the heather is brutal. Truly brutal!
Sunningdale Heath, Surrey - loved it, but again, weather was bad.

Far more than I thought, and some real once in a lifetime ones in there.

Four new ones for me this year:

Glyn Abbey - pleasant enough course for the price
Grove - really enjoyed the course
West Mon - fantastic course with some amazing views. Can imagine it being brutal in the wind
The Lakes at the Vale - a freebie on this one which is always nice. Enjoyable course but a shame to play pretty poorly on the day

Had hoped to play Swansea Bay and Neath this year but they will go on the list for 2025. Considering joining the golf society at work aswell which will allow me to tick off a few other new courses (Royal Porthcawl being the highlight)

Can people stop saying they like Cleeve Hill. This has been a hidden gem for years and you can still get on for £40.

If the secret really gets out it be £100 plus before you know it. A bit like in the value thread where I noted that we played Pennard for £20 (no special discounts) in 2016, its £110 now.

Hi

Royston. Did drive to first tee. Was windy!
Princes in the meet that Dando organised. Was great, apart from the 2 points on the Himalayas Second 9 was better!

Thats it, very poor. Could be playing Flynn Valley & Ely in 2025.
