New Clubs

So, I haven't been on here for a while, busy at work and other such stuff.

However, all this busy-ness has left me with a rather hefty bottom line on my pay packet and so I am going to treat my self to some new clubs....

Trouble is, what to get...

I am currently using a set of dunlops that I picked up for 100 quid. This is a full set...

Should I look at replacing the irons, or my irons and a couple of wedges, a new putter, new driver or fairway wood or what!?!? I know I cant afford to replace the whole lot, and to do it properly so will get the new clubs CF.

I play off 18, anyone able to recommend anything or suggest anything!?!?!

Based on today I'd say the R11 unsurprisingly. However I'd also check out the G15 and the G20 (the 15 should be coming down in price) and definitely look at the JPX 800 pro.

Saw your post earlier Homer...Wast sure if they would be suitable for someone of my H/cap??? Will definitely have a look now though.

I tried the G20 irons the other day, must say I liked them up to the 7 iron. The i20 irons are due any day tho.

I'd find a decent fitting centre and see what suits your game best, and then get them as cheap as poss online with the spec you have been fitted for.

Better that than to spend money and it not be quite right.

or check out second hand clubs on the for sale section. some bargains to be had. some nice pings with upgraded shafts. or a bargain price callaway ftiq driver

I've got a Nike vr str8 fit tour driver if your interested. It's a regular shaft 10.5 degrees and in excellent condition. £95 delivered

Been hearing very good things about the latest irons from MD if you are on a budget.

Had a shot with the Superstrong ST's and I probably would have got them if I hadn't got the Callaway Razr X recently.

Probably should have said in my original post, budget is £600, but the less I can pay the better...who doesn't love a bargain!?

I was already considering the G20's but this was because I had read/seen so much about them, really not sure what else to try, but really wanna try some mizzy's too!

Give as many as you can a pop and don't rush the decision. The Ping clubs are being featured so heavily in every magazine I'm not surprised you are considering them.

Just booked my CF @ 3PM on Friday @ Clubhouse Direct in Salford. I'm a little excited now. Trying to go with an open mind but definitely going to try The R11 Irons, G20's, AP1's and JPX 800's.

Has anyone any experience of the sales service here and whether or not as a retailer they have any preference...I ultimately want to make sure I have what is best for me and not what will bolster their own figures!
