Thinking about treating myself to a new club for Christmas... maybe a Titleist 60/07 lob wedge to replace my MD golf 60 degree one, and so I can buy the better grooved club before they're banned.

Is that a good idea, or is it likely to not be much better than my existing one?

I think that Loch Lomond is still up for sale so I think I'll buy that!!! :D :D :D

Too late, the members buy out was given the go ahead and its gone through.

Diesel, am I right in saying you presently have
Mizuno MX 700 Driver
Mizuno MX 700 3 wood
Mizuno MX 700 5-wood
Cobra DWS 3 eq. hybrid
Mizuno MX 100 4-SW? Irons incl 55deg S/W
Mizuno MX 50deg Gap Wedge
MD Golf 60deg Lob Wedge
Odysee White hot 2-ball Putter

You do know that's 15 clubs

Honestly if you don't spin it back or stop it dead at the moment then I would save a few quid and get a new MD. There is nothing wrong with the MD's they are as good as any offerring from the top manufacturers. I cannot see a vokey making any difference mate.

Oh well, will probably just go for a new putter then! :D

My existing MD lob wedge is not that old, so no point buying a new one of those. If the vokey is not that much better, maybe I'll put the £75 towards another 5 lessons instead...

yup news clubs for christmas are the way forward, im ordering my wedges tomorrow, just need to decide 52 & 56 or 52 & 58.....

50, 54 & 58 :)

No no no no bob too many wedges wil make me chubby!

My stock wedge is either 47/48 And normally good from 105/100 in, my vokey is normally 75 in and my old 60 was just over bunkers & greenside lumps or 50 yards from the right lie, but I'm finding my 60 gets ne in too much trouble using it at incorrect times

to be honest justone/homer, thats the way im going to go. looking at the TM & MIzzy specs it seems most stock wedges are 45/46, My current stock wedge is 46*, so if i run 52 & 58 that gives me a 6* gap between all 3 of my wedges.
