No Newcastle went for Benitez who was clearly the better option.

Its a given that Celtic will win the league. They've just won it with Ronny Deila being in charge. Like I said, thought he'd be a bit more ambitious.

They're favourites again but by no means the nailed on certainty they've been for the last 4 years.

Potentially a good appointment for Celtic but a risk for him. The last guy has been vilified despite winning the league every year he was in charge.

That was all before he started believing his own publicity and inherited a team on the up at Swansea. His achievements at Watford and Reading were not exactly overwhelming.

Good choice for Celtic, seems like the right man for the right team.
He has some work to do though as the current squad seem pretty poor.
Only two Celtic players were chosen by their piers for the SPFL team of the year.

Think it's a very good move for him and for Celtic. Good luck to him and hopefully he uses it to help him more of the managing side

I think it was a step too much for him , very good coach but niave as a manager, at times he did well but a lot of poor managerial descisions

Pretty sure they sacked him when languishing mid table, not whilst in second. They spotted a slide and attempted to hault it.

personally think this is a bad move for him long term. Seems a good attacking coach, but not sure he'll gain the tactical nous needed when he walks the league.
