I ruled it out on price and I heard they fail a bit.. £50 a pop seemed a bit much when I have say 7 rads to have them. For what id actually want to use a normal trv seemed to be just fine (considering we already have them aswell lol)

Black Friday turned up trumps. Picked up some tp link ones (that have very good reviews) for £27 a go rather than the £50 hive ones

Fitted the first one in 10 mins including installing the hub and app

Very impressed

Ended up ordering 5 more to cover the other radiators

I like the idea of child lock on them via the app , tracking the actual temp in the rooms and heating zones rather than whole house

Might save some energy. Might not
