Today this well used saying was oh so true...........

Hit 12 greens in regulation and left 6 putts in the jaws, 2 lipped out,2 mis reads and just the 2 birdies

Shot 76 and 39 points with 2 blobs ( just failed to put a lob wedge over a tree to hear it fall through 3 branches, then stayed up there!!) to be 3rd behind winner with 41.

So off to practice pace pace and pace

Im the same mate, most of my putts are left short,i seem to just like to drop them in,as you say never up never in.I play with a guy who likes to rattle them in from 3 ft generally taking the break out of a putt, however when he misses the putt back is longer than the putt he had.

Putts over 12ft i try and drop in nicely, dont want to overhit them and take the break out. Putts under 4ft, as long as theres not too much break in it, ill generally aim for the back of the cup and batter it in.
