Woohooo!!

Come down from 12.7 to 11.8.
Does that sound about right???

Sounds good to me, you didn't play to 13 very often so no point you suddenly being off 11!!

If you want to be an 11 h/cap or less then you need to keep producing these kind of rounds rather than 25 pointers. Time will tell I'm sure. If you'd been cut by 2 shots I reckon it would just have added to your general disappointment,.... if you know what I mean.

I wasn't "moaning" that I hadn't come down enough James, I was just trying to find out if the cut was right that was all.... ;)
And the difference between an 11 handicapper and a 12? One putt :D

You just need to turn a 4 putt into a 3 putt Rob

Like I say, I had a run of 5 x 3 putts on the trot Gordon. Holes 3-7. Ruined what would have been on otherwise record breaking round for me, and I'm really kicking myself.
The greens had been cut that morning and were running really fast.
Got the hang of them eventually but only picking up 6 points off of 5 holes (I wasn't shotting on 3 of them) really spoiled the card.

Always something in a round that annoys and frustrates but I'd forget the run of three putts and enjoy the overall consistency of your game and the deserved second place

In theory, yes, in practice, maybe not. There is a well known phenomenon where a player has a cut of 2 or more shots and he/she starts to think "hello, I'm a much better player now and I have to live up to it". The danger is that the player tries to hit the ball a little further and take on riskier shots, but I'm fairly confident that Smiffy would not fall into that trap.

That was my worry in a nutshell

Wouldn't want him injuring himself carrying a load of silverware home.
