Ok the course has beaten you up today, but that should be your challenge tomorrow. I'm sure you will have learnt a lot today, so pull up your breeches and go and give that course a good kicking tomorrow.:thup:

Know the feeling. I've been banging on for weeks about how it feels close to coming good even when the comp scores tell otherwise. Played like a prize fool with two doubles and two trebles on the front nine. Never had a clue after the 4th hole where the club was or how the swing should feel. Putting it down to a bad round and while my course wasn't as long or as tough there was a point when tears (of sheer frustration) were quite close. English stiff upper lip kicked in and I got it round the back nine better without the swing improving any

Yeah... And word on the street is that today's debacle is going to come out as reductions only.... So might have got away with it

Anyway a bit better today.... Knocked it round in 88.... Still 14 over par but not embarrassing like yesterday was. Actually played some golf shots but just didn't cope with the big links greens.

Very interesting this links malarkey; still windy today albeit not as horrendous but in the opposite direction which completely changed the nature of some of the holes.

Better scoring all round today and some of the top girls currently under par which is pretty impressive.

So thanks for all the kind words, golf clubs will not be up for sale after all!
