Thanks for the sensible feedback. This verifies the need for mobile Sand Seed Mix 'stations' introduced by clubs along fairways. Then seed/sand mix can be added as well as stamping them down which would help.

All Golfers have an obligation to encourage and educate others when they see them. Nomadic,Guest golfers are by no means the sole cause of disrespecting courses. Have seen enough ignorant members not bothering and heard enough stories from Green Staff where courses have been meticulously prepared for Club Comps and then when they come in the next day Greens are full of Pitchmarks and Fairways ripped to shreds. Even had Divots out of Greens!
I was never taught about repairing Pitchmarks or Divots when I first started to play, but seeing a notice at every course I played stating ''Please Repair Divots & Pitchmarks'' made me ask and find out. There can be no excuse unless players cannot read.

From your comments, You most probably are one of those who doesnt care too much, but the first to complain when a course is not in top condition and in recovery mode. Not all Golfers are proper Golfers- Lazy, Ignorant players are not and any who witness friends they play with not respecting courses, are just as bad if they turn a blind eye. Things need to change to improve the Golfing culture in this Country.

I play golf to make pitchmarks not repair them!!
Thats part of the reason why Bobby Jones never turned pro as he hated playing in the last groups of a big comp when the greens were covered in pitchmarks. I'm just upholding the traditions of our great game.

Repairing pitch marks and divots are like slow play, everyone moans about it, no one admits to (not) doing it.
However, you go round after the seniors roll up at our place, you'll encounter both.
You can tell it's the seniors, because of the skiddy nature of their pitchmarks!!
On the flip side, you don't really take a divot with a 9 wood.

Been known to have a few skidders myself with the longer blades but they generally checked up pretty quick. These hybird things come in from such a height and from so far I'm looking forward to seeing how annoyed the groups behind me get over the winter!

Blimey, you need to do some serious PR lessons if you're going to continue to promote your campaigns.
If you read through the forum you'll find not repairing divots and pitch marks is high on the list of things that annoy this forum on the course so you probably need to relax a bit. You're preaching to the converted over here. Why make it a Wednesday though, wouldn't a Saturday or Sunday or both be a better day?
