Can anyone help in identifying a course?, I collect ball markers from courses I've played over the years and for the life of me cannot remember the name of a course so I can at least try to get the marker.

It is a 9 hole course, somewhere on the North East coast in between Newcastle and Berwick along the A1, it had an old grey brick clubhouse that over looked an very small coastal town, very olde world fishing village setting with houses both sides of the mouth of a small river flowing out into the sea with the course on the south side of the river, it was flat, tree less and had stonewalling situated along the boundaries of the course. Initially thought it was Eyemouth or Alnmouth but their websites don't show pictures similar to what I can remember, anybody know what it could be?

Eyemouth before it was made into an 18 hole course perhaps?
Went from a 9 hole course to a new 18 in Sept '97 I think. One Tee box and one green from old course were used in the new layout if I remember correctly.

Had a wee swatch on goolge maps (am not busy this evening ;-) ) Its got to be Warkworth seems to have everything you describe, 9 holes, no trees, wall all they way round, river and a small town....

Many thanks for taking the time out to check everyone, I've looked at the websites of courses mentioned, it looks very similar to Alnmouth village GC in that it is coastal/a nine holer and treeless but the map doesn't tie in with the club house overlooking a river mouth, to add to the details the car park overlooked the river mouth and the clubhouse was below the level of the first tee as we had to walk up a steep path and you were at about the roof level stood on the first tee.
