Name of competition?

Anyone know if this type of comp has a name?

Teams of 3 consisting of high / medium / low handicapper - Stableford scoring, best 2 on each hole to score.

Quite enjoyed it, as we came 2nd & I (high handicapper - 24) managed to score 3 or 4 points on 7 holes.

I suspect my amateur status is safe for a while yet!

It's one of the formats the society uses, 18-hole comp in the morning, something different in the afternoon.

can be a job balancing the handicaps though.


anyone else played the strings format?
you each get a length of string equal in feet to your handicap. you can use this as you like to get 'free' distance - including holing out - then cut off the used length.
