A few of the youngsters (mid-late teens) at my club have them. Lilac, lime green, they are certainly different ............

I have a pair sitting brand new in the box waiting for the new season!

Loved being able to create whatever I wanted so ended up making 3-4 different shoes online and then my fair lady ordered them for my birthday.

Well worth the extra money to have a touch of personality in your equipment.

I will certainly be investing in a pair once the wedding is paid for!

What a great idea! What sort of money are we talking for this sort of thing?

We have several guys at my club with them. The only thing putting me off is the fact that you have to order the shoe sirect from the factory and obviously can't try them on first. I know I take a size 8 medium width in my other Footjoys but there is something about not being able to try the shoe first that puts me off.

Having said that the ones the guys wear are quite tasteful (given the choices available). I like the idea of having Homer on the side of each one and have managed to design several combinations I'd not be embarrased to wear.

I might see if my sweet grey haired mother will put some money forward for my birthday in June and give it a go.

After posting my last reply I went onto the Footjoy UK website and went through the process as a dry run. The options are amazing both in terms of colours as well as widths, half sizes and shoe base model.

The only thing that remains unclear to me is the question of if all of these option are worked out at a flat cost or if certain models combined with certain finishes and things like monograms or flags bump the price up like buying trim extras on a car?

e.g is a Pod shoe with black and white and no logo the same cost as a three colour Pro model with your intials on the left shoe and St.Georges flag on the right shoe?

find it hard to believe.

A little more clarity on the pricing would have made the site so much more inticing. Anyone got the full sp?

Spoke to my pro' about these. He says it is basically £25 on top of the standard cost for the shoe. So I could get a customise pair of Contour shoes for £95-100. Doesn't matter how much you customise them, the cost is the same. The website for footjoys/myjoys allows the changes to be made then you print off or email the description to your pro' or other supplier, pay and wait. I've tries on some pairs in different sizes to make sure I know the exact size and width fitting for when, if, I order.

only problem is it is so bloody confusing trying to limit it to one choice, toooo many options. The wife is all in favour of me having a pink pair, at least it will take attention away from my golf!

Apparently they won't let you put swear words on the embroidering.
One of our swindles was going to get team shoes, with all their nick names on them, but most are unprintable, and footjoy refused to do it.
