Homer my good man, i'm no expert.....but may i nominate you as our forums very own Jim Furyk?

One of the most un-orthodox swings i've ever seen, but playing off 13 you're obviously doing something right :D

I am not sure how you do that, but as you take the club back, your upper body moves away from the ball, and it coninues to move further away throughout your swing. Now unless your arms get longer through the swing, how do you hit the ball at all?

Maintain your spine angle at address all the way through your swing.

That is my 10p worth anyway.

At least you are brave enough to keep posting yours. Mine would give kids nightmares.

Cheers guys - those comments brought a smile to my face. I know from when I posted my swing a few weeks back that there are a "few" issues but at the moment I'm working on tempo (slowing it down) and staying more rooted with less lateral movement (and reverse pivot) on the backswing. I'm trying to make it a thing of less moving components

If Bob can flog his VMac thingy then I might market my new telescopic arms!!!

I'm actually striking the ball pretty well. Its my short game that has been killing me but now I'm having a series of lessons things shoud look up.

The truth is I want to give this so called top 25 coach a challenge. I didn't want him coming here thinking it was an easy gig!!!!!!!

Thing is Homer you have a repeatable swing & in the end, sometimes that's all that counts...

Hence, KeefG's "Jim furyk" Reference

I'm not going to comment on your swing any further as I know mine is less than perfect. Especially at the moment.

Thaks very much for posting all your info, it really helped me understand your game.

The one thing that I see staight away in your swing is the first part of the backswing.
The club moves away very much on an inside line.
This will certainly go along way to explaining the weaknesses you have in your game.

Try this
When practising place a club away from the middle of your right foot parallel to the ball to target line.
As you move the club away in the backswing make sure that your club does not cross this line. It should move over the top of and at halfway the club will start to move up over your right shoulder.

Ideally the club should be parallel to the ground and the ball to target line 4 times during the golf swing
Halfway in the backswing - Hip height
At the top of the swing
Halfway into the downswing - Hip heigh
Just past the ball the ball - hip height
Be aware of this and you will find you ball striking and direction will improve with all clubs and also should improve your pitching

Look forward to hearing how you get on
