my longest ever drive 395 yards

C'mon boys....keep em coming!! Surely somone on here has broken the 400 barrier? :D

Not to validate his claims but in 18 months of golf I got my first handicap of 17 and then got down to 11.7 AND drove the ball 378 yards... Once... Although I did have a handful in the 320 range...

Its not impossible to do but I shudder when I think how much I spent on lessons, it was easily twice what I spent putting together my first set of proper golf clubs (not my £120 starter set)!

Big difference between 18 months and 6 mate

Why can't the Op's claim be true ?. Some of the young lads in our squad hit a rescue of the tee on our 14th hole that when you hit over the road its down hill ,in the summer when the course is dry they end up in the ditch which is 383 yard from the tee its a par 5 by the way

I was down to 15 within a year, won two of my first 3 comps off my 17 handicap! It can be done but I have stagnated at 12 due to not having a membership for a year. Driving range golf did win me a scratch up however but I soon lost the touch when autumn and winter set it!

can you get a video of this driver swing. if you have ever hit a 395yard drive it will show from any drive you hit.

Just played a pactice round this evening and I felt I was hiting my driver as well as I have in a long, long time.

I measured a couple of the better ones and the best was just under 260 yards, back to the drawing board I guess.

I think the only was I could do this is by hitting it into the back of someones buggy as the drove down the fairway

I was on the 18th par 5 at ingestre. the last group to come back on a regional brigade comp, I hit my drive straight down the middle when it took its first bounce like it hit a cart path. Second bounce was just as high. using my s1 it tracked at 430. When walking down the fairway it was apparent that it had struck the 200 yard maker then the 100 yard marker. I didnt tell the 60 people watching from the terrace. I just said" if I didnt catch it out the toe I would be on the green!

I've broken the 400 barrier a fair few times! In my car on the drive to Cheshire and back to pick my kids up!

Oh wait we're still talking golf aren't we. Then nope sorry don't think my 250yard average usually from middle of fairway can compete with 395yards of pure manlyness of beefcake drive you achieved but then pretty sure I'd be more annoyed taking another 4 shots to get Down than I'd be impressed with the drive! After all its not who hits It furthest who wins it's who scores best.

Now did someone say Pinochio was a real boy. I think he plays golf!

I melted one at our 5th on Tuesday, straight out of the screws, downwind. Hole is bang on 300. Think it crawled to 280 after my aspirations of it being on the green! I usually outdrive my playing partners, am probably at the high end of average. Until I started getting them measured I was sure my average drive was 280 ish. Probably more like 250-260. I play with loads of folk who think they hit an 8 iron 160. I certainly don't,and I can confidently say I'm a club longer than the average club golfer. People are obssessed with how far they hit the ball,I couldn't give a monkey's, and usually find the green with my ludicrously short 150 yard 6 iron while they're playing a pitch from 30 yards short.

So there

do you think a pro can sort it out? its about a 50 yard slice but i can live with it as its consistent but would love it to go i was hitting it straight a month ago 250 yards now its like a banana
Wouldn't your Pro mate - who gives you lessons for free - have been able to tell you?

Looks like the offset Cobra Amp has had a remarkable effect in a few weeks.

Total wind up merchant imo.

Btw. I'm a member of the '400 Club' - Luffness New 18th. Rather wind assisted though. 'Best' 3 wood a couple of holes earlier went 110!
