Afternoon all. Not a massive milestone but I finally carded my first birdie today.

I borrowed a hybrid (Cobra Baffler) from the pro shop to try and got to grips with it about a third of the way round and was striking it pretty well. Also used my new birthday toy (Shotmiser) to good effect as knowing distances my wedge play is much improved.

Anyway, I know I've often been told off for either overcomplicating things or being negative so thought I'd share a positive story. My ball went AWOL on our 12th so I blobbed that hole, but still scored 22 points on the back nine. I think finally things are coming together.

Just need Watney and McIlroy to hold their nerve in the USPGA to round off a great weekend.

Well played mate , your first birdie, got be happy with that.

What do you think of the Cobra Baffler?

Here is to more milestones being reached mate.

Are you going to the Southampton meet ?

Cheers

Baffler Rail simply an exceptional club. Apart from a couple of poor strikes (my fault) it just wanted to go straight with a little draw. Want to try a few mire hybrids before I make up my mind but the Cobra is in pole position now.

Are you going to the Southampton meet?

I'd love to as it would be great to meet graham and a few other forumers in the flesh but the missus needs the car so I can't get down there. Hoping to have my own wheels next year so I can make more forum meets.

Thanks for the message. I'm a little chuffed but itching to get back out to see what I can do for a whole round! Back out on Friday can't wait.
