as the title says a murder mystery weekend is all booked up for my wife and I. first time we have dabbled ,soooooo we are looking for any pointers as to how to become super sleuths . have you ever taken part in one ,can you pass on your wisdom .

Sorry I have nothing to add but how cool would it be if your golf club did this and set it on the course

I.e a player gets murdered on the course in golfing gear with bag/trolley nearby etc and you have to figure out the who & importantly why!

Could it be slow play, was their shirt un-tucked, maybe a rules breach?
For rainy day hold it in the clubhouse, is no tie after 6pm motive enough to tip some folk over the edge!
:sneaky:

Anyway, enjoy yours

Went to a themed murder/mystery dinner once with my wife's company...

It was murder and a mystery that we stayed to the end.... sorry, not my cup of tea. Maybe the acting wasnt up to much, but it was pretty dull and became annoying.

When the guy came to me to say who I thought "done-it" (we went round the table) - I apologised politely and said I didnt know... when he pressed a third time for an answer, I replied "since you ask, I switched off between the starter and main course!" He wasnt impressed!

Me and the wife went to one a few years ago. The players lost the crowd long before the end. Utter rubbish. The beer was bonkers expensive, the nights sleep was non existent due to creaking old floorboards above. I complained later and got freebie out of the hotel. The whole thing was a shambles, but was lit up by a little old dear who was the funniest person I've listened to EVER, as she told us about where she lived and her impression of life and everything. We were crying with laughter at her stories and still talk about her now!!!!!!
Hope it goes well....

Went to one several years ago. Entertaining enough but no real desire to do it again. As I recall you only really need to pay attention to the last scene to guess correctly.
