Motorcaddy S1

Had a few niggles over the years and will post a "long term user review" in a while. Just wanted to see if I have been unlucky.
 
okay mine's a clone but uses exactly the same ECU etc, only difference electrically is the controller and cable (a variable resistor and three wires)

mine has a habit of 'hiccoughing', usually at the start of a round with a freshly charged battery.

it also seems to run down at some point*, then finds a fresh lease of life and runs fine for the rest of the round.

both of these are intermittent problems

* it's at these moments that I realise how heavy it is
 
Have a very close look at the cable between the motor and the control box. On mine, one of the wires (black) had worn through at the control box end, just where it entered the plug (I assume because of constant flexing) and eventually the last few strands burnt out.
