I have acquired a used Motorcaddy M5 GPS which I am not yet fully conversant with and have a pretty basic question about power...... Is it OK to move with power off when going down steep incline ? Doing so causes enough 'drag' to be able to control it but want to be certain I am not damaging gearbox or other component. Should add that mine is not DHC model.

Steep paths can be a real pain. I had a powerkaddy with electronic braking and the gear box went in just over 15months. The problem is the parts as the gears tend to be plastic to keep the weight down these days which means they can wear out. I’d recommend maybe using 1st speed if you can manage it.
