More Freebies in my Golf Monthly

Haven't got mine yet, but always grateful for freebies even if I never use them.

Some folk though, if GM put a free fiver in every mag, there'd be folk moaning it wasn't a tenner.

;)

Only got the tee's no marker ........ where the markers put in at random ....???
everyone should have got both the tees and the poker chip. They are inserted by machine at the outworkers and very very occasionally they miss on the production line. If you havent had one or both please email me with your address (the one the subscription is registered) and I wil get replacements sent out

You've got to love people on here moaning about free stuff, give yourselves a shake guys c'mon if you don't want them then i'll have ,simples.

I'm surprised at some of these reactions, I think these tees are going to prove to be invaluable.

I'm sure the lads will have a field day extracting the urine when I peg up with one of these things......everyone is going to want to play with me :D

Hi Mike, thanks your replying. I appreciate they are free etc etc but we've had the conversation about these type of things before and I stand by my opinion. A tee that increase distance and accuracy? Exactly how much friction is there between a tee and a ball that reduces distance and by how much? Independently tested maybe, longer in total distance, maybe, but the fact they don't say how much tells me everything I need to know.

Sorry if my post came across as a bit of a rant and I appreciate GM will have their reasons for putting them in the mag and the association that comes with it.

I'll do the smiley for you ;)
Mike thanks for the proxy smiley! Absolutely respect your right to voice your views on the mag and gifts (and indeed anything GM) I just wanted to put across out position

I actually use these tees champ fly tees and really like them, mainly as they rarely break and are easy to find after you tee off as I got the bright green ones.

Ok claims are suspect but come on they are fee, if you don't like them then don't use em

MikeH

I didn't realise you were based down the M3 corridor, ping me a PM when you get 5 mins

Cheers Mike, i've sent you an email. I'll defo use both of the freebies. At the end of the day even if the tees don't do anything better than a normal tee why are folk complaining. You tee the ball up and hit it. What its standing on makes no difference to me. Some one might feel the gain an advantage to these and how else are a company meant to get their name out there with out giving away a few free samples.

If you were in the supermarket and there was some free taster cheese and you tried it and didn't like it, you wouldn't complain you'd just say that's not for me ill know not to buy it in the future.

I'm not moaning about the free stuff, just being critical of the claims made on the tees and that is my right. If I thought they were worth the postage, I'd send them to you :D

Lads ....................... they are free for gods sake , it doesnt matter if they work or not ,

personaly i probably wont use them i didnt use the last lot , unlike rooter i didnt use the stickers :p, i never even looked at the stroke saver for muirfield , but im still thankful to GM for the freebies .. Crikey

EDIT .. Darn ya mike i was trying to say that :smirk:

The Muirfield stroke saver will be wedged between the remote controls for me during the open coverage. doubt I will ever get to use it for real though :)

The Tees and ball marker will go into the bag and get a go during a practice round.

Never said anything about your right to moan, i happen to like them as they don't snap in the concrete like conditions we're having up here just now.

I think these tee's rock...

I agree with the fact that they are durable, accurate and low resistance... I used them as darts, and these met all the 3 criteria..

... they are free, and have gone into the bag.. tnx GM Towers..

I don't use the ball marker as a ball marker but it's good for practicing shots where you want to get down to the ball steeply instead of sweeping.
Last time we have these tees I liked them but found they broke too easily but the weather was very cold and I look forward to seeing if they hold up better now the weather is warmer.
