Monty...........deary me!

The Ryder Cup is drifting off the radar now so Monty has decided he needs to get in the press again! He has a big ego that he needs to have massaged publicly. Press love him as he always wears his heart on his sleeve of course.

Reeks of mid life crisis to me.

Nothing wrong with ambition and goal-setting but at 48 or whatever he is and not exactly Greg Norman or Bernhard Langer in the 'keeping in shape' bracket it's nonsense really isn't it.

Seniors Tour is beckoning Monty!

Saw him at a clinic just after he'd announced the wildcards and he said then he'd be playing a full tour schedule in 2011 and has full playing rights until 2015. He was adamant that once he got there he'd retire and that he doesn't want to play the seniors tour in any form.

I agree that the European tour has so many up and coming players now that he'll find it hard to get back to the top level. Mind you he didn't play much last year so who knows, maybe the rest will have done him good (not if last years form is anything to go on though). I like watching Monty, except when he's in a strop and even then it has its funny moments and I like him so I hope he can do well. As for getting in next time - I've as much chance as he has
