Come on,someone please explain to me what people find so great about Els's swing??

I must be missing something here as I always think he looks rigid and positively uncomfortable throughout the whole swing process.

Decent rythym yes, but the best? Not by a long shot.

As soon as I read your post Dodger, I immediately thought you were just taking the opposite view just to wind people up. You are almost as bad as I am for it. Obviously, Ernie's swing is the best. :D

Rhythm, power, timing, elegance and balance. It is the best swing on the list of players in my opinion. Elkington runs him close too. I have watched Els up close on the practice ground in Dubai and his ball striking was the best on show, closely followed by Westwood and Garcia. Kaymer was decent too.

Some of the rest of them weren't much cop to be honest! Still, they are millionaires and I am just a crap hacker!

For me it was Els (rhythm and balance) and Milka Singh.

Though I also have a problem with Dustin Johnson's swing. How shut can he get it at the top? By rights he should snap every shot (and not just alot of them).

Theres a moral to this however - use what works for you.

Els gets a lot of credit for his rhythm, but I'll raise you Paul Lawrie who has an equally if not better rhythm to his golf swing.
