I've had an e mail today from the Ladies H/C sec, with an attachment from England Golf:-
"Recording of Non Qualifying Scores.
From 1st January 2017 England Golf require all players to return all scores in Non Qualifying Competition, to assist handicap committees with handicap reviews. (Clause 4.5b/8.12)
Please note these scores will not directly affect a player’s handicap, but may be used as ‘supporting evidence’ of performance when it comes to a handicap review.
Scores should be returned in all Singles, Am-Am, 4BBB and team competitions, with the exception of Texas Scrambles and Greensome competitions.
Clubs should also be aware of regular roll-ups that take place at their club, where players are playing off a measured course under Competition Play Conditions. We would advise that these types of competitions should be played as qualifiers when possible.
To assist with the return of scores, we advise that clubs outline a process to allow players to record these scores.
It is recommended that this is done directly to the Handicap Committee, and that the Committee keep a copy of all information for the current year and one previous year. The information does not have to be recorded on the handicap software, but should be stored in a format that can be used for any handicap review."

Bonkers !

This actually answers some of the questions people were guessing in the other thread.

So why so many questions if it was that simple!! ffs I am allowed an opinion!

NO......
The last thread rumbled on unecessarily as there is a sizeable minority's of people on this forum who prefer to tackle the man instead of the ball. No matter how eloquently (and repeatedly) something is explained, some will always carry on arguing as they find it somewhat cathartic and in some way it enables them to temporarily forget their pitiful existence.

Or, they just find it fun...............;)

Eh ?

The op is exactly the same email and guidelines that was posted in the first thread - who said anything about not having an opinion !

It doesn't answer any of the questions posed in the first thread because it's the same email.

Which took 5 posts and your 2nd post to show the link, not straight away as this one.
You also claimed TT and other events won't count as they are not run by an affiliated club, please show were in your link or in this OP it states that,
A lot of the answers in the other thread was educated guess's.
It says to me if I play in any Non-qualifying comp my club should inform me how they wish to ME to provide that info, it also asks clubs to do the same, so if I play on the TT under the conditions stipulated I would be expected to provide my score to my club.

Your wrong at times wolfie, the op in the other thread used a term/word that wasn't in the email and thus contributed to a lot of the initial confusion until the actual word for word email was posted.

It's not always about an individual but if your going to post something why miss quote it, surely it simpler to just put up the actual email to remove any potential human errors!!

And a lot of the questions are still unanswered because the body of the text in the OP is still the same as what was posted in the other - the OP has posted nothing new and I'm not sure why there was such an overreaction. I have a meeting coming up soon with county and EGU representative to get clarification on it all.

Unless you can see something that is in the OP that wasn't posted in the other thread

That above was posted in the other thread

Then why did you give definite answers.
From the link and OP on this thread when I attend a Forum meet if the day meets the criteria stipulated I should inform my Club of my score in the manner it requests. You stated a forum mtg wouldn't count, please provide the proof, you were giving black and white answers on the other thread.
