a thought that sprang to mind this morning while listening to some of my colleagues whinge about monday mornings....

I don't mind Mondays - they are the start of a new week and as such are filled with the promise and potential that THIS is the week that will be filled with life/career changing excitement......

Now, Tuesdays on the other hand are totally sh&*£ - by the time Tuesday rolls around you realise that you've just had yet anouther Monday filled with false hope and you're facing another week of the same old pish...............

Why don't you give yourself a treat every Tuesday. A night out with the missus, a night in without the missus, favourite meal, something to look forward to every Tuesday.
Then Wednesday wouldn't be so bad and Thursday is the day before the weekend starts :D

Glass is half full here (sometimes)

couldnt agree more about the tuesday thing, normally i'm still excited from the weekend on a monday (eg the phenomenal roast we had yesterday in a hitherto undiscovered local pub) to let anything bother me. tuesday is when the working weeks depression generally kicks in

Is that you missus Bob or his??

Having watched what has gone on in Japan over the last four days, i just think we should all be greatful.

I'm with you Bobmac, my glass is always more than half full.

Mondays are ok as I've just played golf for two days. Tuesdays I get to leave 30 minutes early so usually hit the range. Wednesday is a drag as its midweek and work starts piling up as managers dump it before taking extended weekends. Thursday at least gives you a sense the weekend is approaching and Friday is a 4.30 finish and down the range.

Mind you I've next Monday off so a lovely long lie in planned, get to the club for lunch (and let the seniors play in the morning) and then out for a round

I used to hate mondays but now my shifts have changed i'm either off or it's the last day at work before 2 days off so it aint too bad.
