After playing with a guy useing this swing i thought i would give it a try and had a good round breaking 90 for only the second time this year.

I think the basics of the swing is placing the clubhead ( for all your clubs) back in your stance about a foot and not doing a full swing just back and through.

Although i didnt place the clubhead that far back (probebly half that distance) i was hiting far crisper shots and also getting more distance some of the drives i had were alot longer than i normally get.I did hit 4 poor shots with 6/7 irons but think thats to be expected trying something different.

This swing is unlike anything ive heard or read about,i think the guy was a bit of a maverick and after looking on u tube it said hes had 59 twice and 17 holes in one.

Anyone else heard of him or use his swing?

The whole Moe Norman legened is overdone imo, rose tinted glasses when looking at the past.

The only guy who swings like him nowadays is M A Jimenez.

Yes, and Moe was not exactly an ordinary bloke. Interesting life, interesting story. Not an interesting swing.....simple theory made good by years of work. Like someone who learned to play golf on a desert island. :)
He did it his way and proved unconventional can be effective, but surely not recommended.

Does it matter if its not a interesting swing :D All i can say after just one round it worked for me and was so much simpler than having all the other swing thoughts your supposed to remember surely thats a good thing and i would recommend anyone to give it a try, maybe on the range though :D :D

he's been credited by a number of pros as being the greatest driver/striker of a ball, including Woods, so I guess he wasn't that bad.

man out of time and out of place I think. had he been around today with the more tolerant (?) attitudes - who knows.
