Has anyone had the opportunity to try them out yet, or even bought a set.
I bought 4-pw 2 weeks ago, I've played 3 rounds up to now and to be honest i'm not totally convinced.I'm coming from a set of ping s58s which had much lighter shafts. so the 53s are are going to take some getting used to with s300, but at the moment they just feel very much like a game improvement iron,I was hoping for more of a players feel.
I've never played mizuno before so I'm hoping the feel and shotmaking is going to come.
If anyone has given them a whirl any comments positive or negative much appreciated.

I'm trying a demo of the new Mizzy range 53, 63 and the JPX 800 and the pro version on Sunday so I'll be interested to see how heavy the shafts feel compared to something like my TP's with their TT R300's

I think You will find more weight with the 53s. my previous ping s58s had the zz65 shaft so there is quite some difference.
i'm hoping its just a settling in period and their gonna come good. but at the moment i'm not convinced.

You can have the 53s in a range of different shafts, including lighter ones. S300 may be the shaft you see in the pro shop, but KBS, Rifle, Project X and NS Pro are also available.

Did you get them Custom Fitted or buy them of the rack. Mizuno have the optimiser which would have told you after 3 swings which one was for you. I personally didn't get on with the DG S300 there was to much spin for my swing i ended up with Rifle 5.5 shafts in the MX300's and love them, not as firm as the Project X 5.5.

Yes i got them custom fitted, but last year before the new gadget came in. I previously had graphite shafts as i suffer from tennis elbow, and was recommended lighter steel shafts. The test results also came out best with these shafts.

Must admit they feel great and handicap dropped from 13 to 9 since i got them.

Yep got them fitted and the s300 came out top, my ball striking is ok,the ball flight is quite boring not much penetration, they just feel a little on the game improvement side of things. I was just hoping for a bit more feel with the shorter irons.
Its hard to gauge when you're just hitting a 6 iron into a launch monitor.

I thought the new 53 are replacements for the MX25 and are slightly game improvement aimed.

When I was looking at new irons a couple of years ago at the custom fitting session, I was told I was too good a ball striker to have the MX25 and they would give to high a ball flight.

Not the same clubs I know, but similar ish.

52 is a replacement for 52.
63 for 62.
JPX800Pro for MX300, and JPX800 for MX100 and 200.

Ignacio Garrido won the BMW PGA with MX25s, so I think they are decent enough clubs for a good player. The MX300s are also finding Tour use.

Hey only going by what a PGA Pro told me.

I remember seeing him with those, but think he only had the longer clubs as MX25.

When i was getting custom fiited i wanted the MX 25 but the ball flight with even x stiff shafts when way to high.
