Anyone taking the Mizuno custom fit experience? Especially where they tell your 'perfect' shaft in three swings?

Did it in Marchlast year. Although I may be selling the MP58's as I need my A game to make them work, when I have that A game they are superb. I got a Ping fitting for i15's a couple of months before and the specifications were plenty different. I was using PX 5.0 shafts and the DNA gizmo immediately pointed to me needing S300's.
Up to a point, the shaft is the most important part of the club. The head matters but I don't think its as critical as long as its not a blade when you need SGI head!
The Swing DNA thing gives you a good shaft choice, some of which you maynot have thought of.
Worth doing.

I had a full fitting for new irons at the Wrexham fitting center last week. James the fitter was excellent but the end results from the fitting didn't really show me any dramatic improvements I would get from changing to the JPX 800pro irons he recommended at over £700 (new wedges as well) so I'm sticking with my Ping G10's.

The fitting did show that my G10 red dot I'd been fitted for at American golf (indoors in 15 mins!) were in fact too flat for me so I'm taking a trip over to Ping to have them changed to blue dot at no cost.

i did it at wrexham a few months ago. it confirmed what i thought, that the shafts i had were wrong for me. i put KBS tour stiff shafts in the bag and the difference was immediate. whats to lose? its free and gives good advice...

didnt realise it was free, dont they expect a sale?

they'll make recommendations and then the shop attached will give you a quote. You are under no obligation to buy... you probably will though, but you can buy from anywhere you want. Just take the recommendations and shop around...

Is it free if you just get fitted for Mizuno or £25 if you get fitted for the whole range of manufacturers as they have them all available for fitting?

i only did the mizzy custom fitting as i was pretty certain i only wanted mizzy irons. that part is free, i suspect its a different set up for other equipment as the custom fitters i used were employed by Mizuno, not Clays golf centre.

It is free at the Mizuno fitting but they'll only use Mizuno gear. If you use the Clays fitters then they will fit you for anything and charge £30 which is refunded if you buy the clubs from them.
