Played at Aylesbury with Imurg today and he only beat me on GROSS scores by 3 shots!!!

Either I played the game of my life, or he played as bad as he could possibly play and then some.

It was the latter, I got 32 points, he got 19, we were both on 46 gross at the turn, I had 20 points, he had 10.

We both played rubbish on the back 9, i had 51, he had 48.

I asked him when was the last time he shot in the 90s at Aylesbury...he couldnt remember

Im pleased that I won and its been a long standing ambition to get close to him gross, but he was a destroyed shell of a man today and it was a bit sad to see him like that especially as he shot a gross 72 on Tuesday.

Still we can do it all over again tomorrow and he will probably play like sevy

conditions are very good, yes we have has lots of rain, but there is no standing water, greens are pretty steady, a bit hit n sit but thats ok.

The 1st cut of rough ok bit long in places, the second cut is rough,The bundo is a forest you dont want to go there.

its looking very good

OMFG...
What a disaster...
Absolutely no control over the ball at all.
Didn't start too badly, 3 x nett pars but the swing just went home.
Barely hit a decent shot from there.
As the Fragster says, I shot a 72 tuesday - hardly put a foot wrong..
Stupid game

And there are absolutely no positives to take away.
I mentioned to Fragger on the way up 16 that if he didn't beat me gross today then he never will as I really can't play any worse..
He didn't - so he won't!!!!

You can always get worse. Spent most pf last season finding fresh ways to make a horlicks of every single hole, usually in the same round and I'm sure I though the idea was to take as many shots as possible to get your money's worth

For a 5 Handicapper to be shooting a 94 Gross, it really can't get much worse than that.

Looking through old scores and looking at 'bad' rounds at my home course the worst I shot was an 84. I thought I played terrible and wanted to give the game up afterwards but thats 14 over par at our place.

I'm sure there are plenty of golfers here who would love to shoot 14 over par at their home course.

We all have rounds where nothing clicks and you feel like you have never played the game before!
