I've had maybe a dozen Miura wedges over the years, including a set o 52, 56, 60 to go with their CB201s, but they never really sparkled for me - even after some custom grinding work. The blade-ish style seems to work better for me.
I'm actually happy with either the Performance ones as per sig but even more with the gap and lob that I got from Down_The_Middle!
If you want to go 'bling' on that style, then Vega, Chikara or Hakusa might work! I believe they are all actually forged by the same company - MGL could probably confirm. I think I have a (pretty beaten up) JL/Vega, or maybe 2!, sitting in a corner somewhere!

Miura wedges? Go for it. Like you say, it's your cash and you may as well duff, shank, thin and fresh air with the most pointlessly unnecessary, massively overpriced, total waste of time clubs that are currently available.

Dean, you have had advice from some seriously GOOD golfers who have been there, seen it, bought the tee-shirt.
They can play more shots with one wedge than you can play with all 4 (soon to be 5) of your wedges.
They're not trying to be nasty or big headed, they're just giving you good advice.
If you were rubbish at cooking, buying the latest pots and pans from Heston Blueminthingy isn't going to make you a better cook.
Buying new wedges ISNT going to make you a better golfer.
If you want my professional advice (and you probably dont (but you're going to get it anyway)), dont spend £150 on another wedge, get rid of that useless 64, get yourself a 4 hybrid and maybe a 5 wood and spend the rest of your hard earned cash on lessons.
That way, you will learn to use the clubs you've got and get much more satisfaction from your game.
This advice WILL make you a better golfer.

Dont leave it too long to have a short game lesson, you'll be amazed what you will learn

Seems difficult to find a well recommended pro in my area.
I'm more than prepared to spend the hours needed for my short game as the pic of my garden shows

I would recommend you get some lessons, and just enjoy playing. Don't listen to some of these negative comments, there are a lot of know it alls on this forum, who actually know naff all :rofl:

Any pro will teach you how to chip and pitch the ball.
Here's a couple of vids to get you started.
The idea is to try and hit the ball UNDER the shaft resting on the baskets.
If you do it properly, the ball will go OVER the shaft

Of course you can get an equally good club for half that and it won't make you a better player but if you like it and want it and can afford it why not buy it?
For what it's worth I justified getting a Scotty on the basis that, it's not that it is a significally better putter than other brands, nor will it make me a better putter, but I liked it and sometimes it is simply nice to have nice things. Golf is my hobby, I had a little windfall and I deserved a treat. So what if I spent £175 on a putter. I only spent £30 on my trolley. I play with folks who have £200 trolleys and £30 putters! Some wear Rolexs some wear Casios. The Rolex wearers aren't noticably more punctual.
So why not splash out on a specially nice wedge, it's still less money than the latest adjustable driver and about the same as a pair of myjoys or a tour bag. People spend their golf budget on different things. Good luck to 'em all - you only live once.

this was the original question, the answer is depends...
on why you are buying it. It won't make you a better player, it will look pretty and as long as you can still afford the electricity bill. go for it.
IMO this is similar to buying a set of blades off a double digit handicap. It's fine as long as you accept the reasons for doing it. It looks good in your bag and people may think you can play a bit.
that wouldn't be my buying motivation
