Get yourself a couple of Vokeys (the tour pro's choice) for the same money,and don't sweat about custom fitting.

If you think pro's use Vokeys because they are the best, you are deluded. They only use them because they get payed shed loads.

Its the same as Odyssey, tour pro get paid shed loads to use them as well.

Don't forget it was Miura that forged tigers old nike clubs.

Just because a player use's a club,doesn't mean they are on the payroll.
Vokeys are the most used wedge on tour because they perform.
WTF would a TM player choose to use Vokey wedge's,because Titleist pay him more than his main sponsor ?

I'm not sure for the vast majority of players it is about the money, this is what I'd like to believe anyway. I found this quite an interesting article about Brandt Snedeker...

If you have HARD evidence that Tiger's irons are Miura Forged, please share it. If it's just 'have heard' in the same way that I've heard the rumours - and that his Titleists also were - then 'talking out of arse' seems pretty common!

As for non-main sponsors putters/wedges in players bags....it depends on the deal. Some require a certain no of clubs to be by the main sponsor, others exclude wedges and putter, others are just Driver (or even Headcover!). Companies are not in the business to make life difficult for their players, so tend to be flexible. There certainly cases (Furyk, Donald) where players have picked a putter at random and found it too good for them not to play it. BTW. Donald has a real 'mixed' bag. That's not to say he hasn't negotiated a deal with each of the 'minor' OEM whose gear he plays - he'd be daft not to - once he decided to play it!


After Driver and Putter, wedges are the most important clubs for Pros, so they need to perform - sponsorship alone will not be sufficient!
'Deluded' does seem an appropriate word for many of your posts though! :rofl:

Google is your friend...the info on t'web says Miura never disclose or confirm rumours. The acknowledged rumour is that they forged Tigers Titleist irons. No mention at all about Nike. They've also recently forged TM and Titleist clubs used by major winners.
