Our Zanussi Dishwasher has seen better days, but i need to run it a bit more as we will change it as part of a kitchen upgrade later in the year. Unfortunately, yesterday it kindof stopped working and having started noticing a small leak.
Rolled it out this morning and discovered a small leak. Unfortunately the leak is pretty close to the machine.

Is there a way I can patch it up without having to replace the whole hose.

Is the hose long enough to shorten it a tad? Should be a simple job if so, remove the white locknut thing, cut off the split and reconnect.
Actually on closer inspection, is it a locknut? It's hard to make out.

it is not a locknut... took the side panel out and the pipe runs longer into the machine (the pump is towards the front). So difficult to cut it out. Tried to put some tape, but corrugated pipe did not let me :(

Get some shrink wrap for electric cables. You use apiece bigger than the pipe, slide it down over the split area and apply a heat gun to it, a hot hairdryer should do it. It shrinks over the tube tightly and will mould it's self over the convolutes.

Don't think shrink wrap would hold water would it? Worth a try I guess, how about cling film, would that work?

Thinking on the product is 'Heat Shrink' not shrink wrap, this should do it as it's low pressure water.

Maybe some Gaffa tape would do it

Will give it a shot.. but do you get Heat Shrink that will go over the drain hose? a quick google says the one in places like Screwfix are much thinner...

the white clamp comes off by inserting flat blade screwdriver into plastic clip on top and bottom,a new hose cost less than a £10er,stop being a skinflint and get it sorted properly.:ears:

I blame Giuseppe...
