Played my first medal of the year off the blue championship tees yesterday, having just been cut to 20.4 off a supplementary score. Main aim as I went out was not to get that 0.1 back and go up to 21. I know that's not really the way you should think, but I think it might have helped.

I played sensibly from rough etc, didn't try and go for everything and also found that my putting practice is paying off. Had 9 1-putts in my practice round the day before and managed to get another 5 yesterday. :)

Irons were still a bit shaky after my lesson a fortnight ago, but managed to hold it together fairly well. Played well off the tee and my short game was good too.

Managed to card an 87 (gross 67) :)

On that note, where does 0.4 cuts end and 0.3 cuts start?

Got the handicap secretary to check my handicap today and I'm off 18.3 :D

Went out today in the roll up off my new handicap and got 26 points... whoops! :o

Just got to wait to see if I win the comp now. With the wind and rain today, I reckon my 67 is safe as houses!
