Not sure that would have the desired effect. Makes it look like 'us' 9 qualifiers and 'you' 3 picks. If you want to make it as integrated as possible it would have to be alphabetical throughout the team.

Did you not read the line before that where I said "and when the full team is sorted they will do it Alphabetically"

Overall I think its great that players of the caliber of Poulter & Westwood are what the captain has to pick as wildcards, shows a real strength in depth across the team

As they say in talent show results "in no particular order" i think. But still a good selection IMHO,Gallacher knows the course like the back of his hand and always plays well there, and all his home comforts.

I've played there more than Gallacher and I know every nook and cranny- still eats me up:rofl:

He obviously knows the desirable places, while you know all the undesirable ones! :whistle:

Sensible pick imo. As was Poulter. Westwood may be out of form, but he's a great competitor, so a risk worth taking imo.

Couple of weeks ago, I'd have said Europe by a mile. Bit closer now though as some of the US guys are swinging into form - though maybe not the RC guys!

on uber fast greens in 30 degree temps.

Wait till they play in 14 degrees, soft fairways and a bitter easterly wind and rain. Lets see a 330yd drive now Bubba:rolleyes:

With under a month to go the weather would need to take a real turn for the worse to see soft fairways.I was up there a little over a week ago and it was still firm as hell under foot thanks to the good weather we have now enjoyed for well over a year.It was a major concern 2 or 3 years ago but I can't see the place playing as long as it might have done.

It'll probably piss sown for the next 4 weeks now....;)

It seems unlikely to suddenly change to soggy conditions, but I have experienced the vagaries of Scottish weather, so who knows!
