We have had 2 golf holidays to Mauritius with Chaka Travel, both to Bell Mare Plage. They seem to have a monopoly for golf out there as virtually everyone we chatted to had booked with them - ask for Stuart he has been out there a few times and definitely knew what he was talking about. We have had a number of trips with Chaka Travel, including 2 to Mauritius - great place and I'd suggest all inclusive as otherwise can be costly. I know from their website and newsletters that they also arrange weddings and honeymoons out there www.chakatravel.com

It's a while since we went, but if you do go, just watch out when/if you hire a taxi/driver. We hired (on two occasions) drivers to take us on sight seeing trips and all they did was drive from cousin's shop to uncle's shop, to granddad's shop etc etc. And not to anywhere we wanted to go. In tbe end we just said "Enough! Just take us back to the hotel!". Slab may be able to comment whether that is common, or whether we were just unlucky.

On the otherhand, the under-sea walking was brilliant. You go out in a boat, climb down some steps through a hole in the boat bottom with a glass bucket on your head - with a pipe pumping air down to you. And you just stroll around the sea bed looking at fish & stuff. Do they still do that there?
