At my club it is the responsibility of both players. If you can't get it done by the alloted time then both get kicked out unless you can prove that you've made efforts to offer a number of dates and times to the committee

This year at my place they brought in the rule that it was the name on top to organise the match which as I was the first out of the hat, and if I get to the final, I need to organise every match I play in or get hoofed out.
Top name is the challenger at my place.
Yep this is way at most clubs, makes it fair as there are way to many Dodgers out there trying to sneak through.

There's no rule like that at our place, down to both to sort out between them.
I'll look at the draw and take my opponents number if it's already on there and ring them. If not I'll write my number down on the sheet.
What really pees me off is when I write my number down, nothing happens for a couple of weeks so I go back to the sheet and all my opponent has done is written his number down!!
Why the heck not just take a note of my number and ring me. :angry: :angry:

that used to really wind me up, I found the type that did this were usually very arrogant

Up to both players at my place to sort it out between them. If not you are out the comp. If you are struggling to match up dates to play the game also it is tough luck and you are both out.

We have to play our second round matches by 27th but so far my opponent has not been decided from the first round. If and when they get round to playing there is going to be little time left to fit in our second round tie regardless of who is 'challenger'!

Stub , Was there not a date for the 1st round to be completed ? normaly is .. then they both out , unless one can prove he tried a few times with no reply

3 days notice of first challenge then at least a week between first and last and at least one must be a weekend
If no dates agreed committee decides and still no agreement either both out or a flip of a coin (usually both out)
Seems to work although every time im the challenger i put the challenges in the day after the last round ends, im still waiting for a challenge and it ends on the 28th,
