Match Conceded - Opinions please.

if the match hadn't started I would agree, however once started there is more logic to the approach that the remaining holes are conceded and the matches score is based on that.

I would suggest the score 'clearly matters' here, or the thread wouldn't have been started.

It does not matter as far as the rules of golf are concerned.

The scores of conceded matches that have already started will be governed under the competition rules set out by the comps committee

At ours a conceded score even before is given as a 4&3 victory

4&3 sounds a good sort of compromise. I suspect 10&8 would distort anything like resolving a tie too much.

Don't seem to get many complaints - it used to be a 1 hole up victory but in the winter league some teams did a bit of manufacturing

Last year we played a pairs match and on the fourth hole one of our opponents stormed off having lost the first three holes and stuffed her tee shot into the trees when we were on the green. After the dust settled it was discussed what the score should go down as and it was decided it was a 10 and 8 win to us.
