Next Wednesday we are having a Masters style par 3 competition in the evening. They are making the front 9 all par 3s with the possibility of a few ‘cross country’ style holes. Foursomes format with cocktails halfway round and a Masters style buffet afterwards (no idea).
Anyone else doing any Masters style events?

Nothing at my club but I believe St Annes Old Links are doing exactly as your club has suggested - sounds a great idea!

We're doing a Masters 'themed' stableford comp on Saturday with the club choosing a 3 hole stretch & designating it 'amen corner' for a mini comp inside the overall round score (low index par 5 followed by island green par 3 then one of the toughest par 4's)

should be a fun day

We've been hosting a masters par 3 event since before Covid. Played on the front 9 and a number of cross country/cross holes and is always a sell out. We have now introduced a winners menu aspect and last years winner can pick a main of their choice to go on the food menu for afterwards alongside a couple of offerings from our chef
