Tiger is never a good lay, this is why he is always a shorter price than you'd expect, the bookies know this.

I would say that people in general always back Tiger based on how good he was, not how good he is now, and the bookies know this and know they will take money on odds shorter than they should be.

I told a mate of mine who was gonna back him before the last round at 20/1 that he had no chance.
I thought I was going to be proved wrong big time the way he played the front 9, it was like the Tiger of a few years ago on a charge.
Unfortunately for him he's still not quite where he was and couldn't keep it up, but I was worried!

Absolutely right. Whenever the mass population becomes involved in betting the bookmakers know they can get away with murder by offering very short prices - be it England to win the World Cup or Tiger/Mickelson to win the major.
