Master Scoreboard functionality

We use Master Scoreboard for tee bookings. You can book two full days ahead from 8pm. Wednesday evening is a bit manic to book for Saturday.

Some groups are being a bit shifty by several of them all booking a time but not completing the booking before WhatsApping their mates to see who got what. Then from a full sheet saying "in progress," times then appear as the others cancelling their times. It then takes 10 minutes to clear the time.

Does anyone know what admin functions exist on the system to track activity? (ie booking then cancelling etc)

Any other clubs have similar and what did you do about it.

You end up getting on, but its a right lottery!

We use BRS; after selecting your tee time, it gets locked for 5 mins to complete the booking. Other tee booking systems work similarly, and as far as I know, none of them track these locks on tee-times. Reporting on completed bookings and subsequent cancellations is possible with some (but not all) systems; it may also be possible to prevent online cancellation (i.e. require an admin to do it) - although this would create additional work, it would quickly highlight the culprits when the same people are ringing up to cancel every week!

One of the 'joys' of competing for 'in demand' times - whichever booking system is used! As long as they are cancelled in a timely fashion, it doesn't really matter. It's when some forgets to cancel/cancels late where problems occur.

They have to cancel out, or they can't be put in the other slot.

We normally play between 8.30 and 9.30. Wales playing in the early game, so lots of folk playing earlier... accordingly we are now playing at 11:10
