Massive watch dilema

Love me watches, love um, and reading the blog re inherited watch has be torn.

When I finished work last year Missis T gave me a bit of brass towards a watch which i still have. I have chance of a watch which I really fancy, but there's an old fashioned part of me saying " it's not working class to do that" there's another part saying "after 36 yrs of graft" you have warned it.

sod it sod it flippin sod it.

any advice may help.
 
Don't pigeon hole yourself. If you want it, get it. Watches used to be my weakness but failing eye sight meant bigger, uglier watches. Then I bought a Skaagen. Slim as, and bizarrely I can see it no bother.

I am a bit of a watch geek too Tashy, so would say go for it. You know it feels good having a nice watch on your wrist!

What you after? I am a Christopher Ward fan, have 3 of theirs plus a few other makes, though covet an Omega Speedmaster.........one day :)
 
I love my watches as well, but nowadays I stick to one. They require maintenance so choose carefully, the panerai are disappointing with their quality.

Aaaaaargh flippin argh it's a seamaster I am looking after. I may well end up selling a few others but Hobnit you old fart I to have a Skagen and love the slim beast.

Iv'e got 3 Chris Wards and two for HID, very good quality at great prices but getting a bit more pricey these days. I also have a Breitling a Skagen and a Seiko Kinetic that I have owned for some time and has become my everyday watch again.
@Tash, take a look at the Christopher Ward web site, some very good watches at good prices, Swiss made but British design.

Good to find another CWL fan, SocketRocket,
I have 2 Tridents.........anyone interested in Christopher Ward then I suggest looking at their forum christopherwardforum.com and keep an eye out for their regular sales........often half price (and RRPs are not that bad given the quality).
I just picked up a 2nd Trident,albeit only the quartz version, reduced from £300 to £150.
 
Well that's gone tits up, seems like I was not the only one that thought it was a bargain. Now Over 2.5 k.

never mind Tash keep looking.
 
Lovely watches those Socket. Never known of them before, will definitely have a look in the future.
I have a Hublot big bang, beautiful watch but had it in twice in three years for service and although the quality of the service has been great I've not been a fan of the amount of times I've had to send it back!
Best two watches I have that never skip a beat are my Tissot Swiss Auto PRC 200 and my Omega Speedster 57, top drawer and if looked after will last a lifetime.
Go on do it! It's definitely an investment if you choose the right one :thup:

Never really had a decent watch before so treated myself to a quality Seiko a few Christmas's ago. Once I got that I got an urge and keep having to reign myself in. Keep seeing loads of quality stuff and having to stop myself going nuts. How can a simple time keeping device evoke such urges.
 
I have a few watches, as homer said my day watch is a Seiko titanium. I have a Skagen which is nice. An Armani which is nice but I struggle to see the time on it.
and a Hamilton for posh.
love wearing me grandads hunter though.
off to Cotswolds tomorrow to gitting power so might take it along.

I have a F1 Tag that was a 30th Birthday present - wore it once on my wedding day

Got a Citizen Ecodrive that i sometimes wear when going out.

Not a watch person really
