Marking your ball

Golf in the UK is far easier than Thailand. In Thailand there are that many hazzards, water, OB, coconuts, monkeys, snakes, jungle that you can on a bad day lose several balls, in the UK i only use Pro V1s I've bought brand new, now in Thailand ive decided I'm only using second hand balls. Thats why this subject originally came up. i tried getting the permanent ink off which worked in most cases but some bozos covered the balls in all sorts of marks. Anyway that will give you something to bang on about..

Marking their balls in the way that works for them doesn't make them bozos.

Anything that contains ethanol or petroleum should remove these markings. Suggest you try methylated spirits or the sprays you can get from opticians for cleaning spectacles.

Tin Cup shamrock in green or just 3 green dots with a line under for a stem if I can't be bothered with the tin cup thingy.

Three dots in the dimples and a line for stem for me too, at the top right of Titleist wording.
A wee putting line may get drawn if I'm needing a bit of putting confidence

I like to spell out Adam in morse code......either that or 4 blue dots to the right of the name

I too would like to know how well the ink lasts from these markers. I bought a ball marker, but the ink fades quite quickly. I find that sharpies don't last much longer before I have to re-mark the ball. I suppose this means my golf is improving as I tend to get several games from one ball rather than use several balls for one game.

Wow, you keep a ball long enough for the ink to fade. I doff my cap to you.
