Manchester Derby

Before the game I thought, if Man U go out and attack (their normal game) they will get the result needed (win or draw at worst). They should have said treat it like an away European leg, if we attack and we get one they have to get two.

However, once I seen Park was in and Man U's team, I thought maybe Fergie is going to try to defend it, but with Vidic out/Ferdinand getting on/Smalling ok/Evans can be a liability it would not be the correct thing to do (especially this season).

City were sloppy for 15 minutes and I thought the occasion had got to them, but once they settled down they were the better team. No changes by Fergie at half-time (still surprised), but they have got some bench, so I thought one City took Tevez off, Man U would ask a lot of questions of City's defence.

It never materialised, which is highly unusual. In total, thought Fergie picked the wrong team, had the wrong attitude (defence instead of attack) and some of the players did not perform (especially Rooney), although he didn't have any service.

It's not over unless City get a win at the Toon, can't see them not beating QPR if they have to. Unless Swansea let 10 in of course.

Agree that he used the wrong tactics. If he was going to play a lone striker, then he would have been better playing Welbeck or Hernandez and dropping Rooney into Midfield.

Crap tactics got the result they deserved.

How satisfying :) About 3 weeks ago all the Utd fans were going on about City throwing away an 8 point advantage, now they've done it themselves :) Am so pleased for them !!

Awful game and United paid the price for playing for a draw. Ferguson has made some terrible mistakes that could cost them the title. To blow an 8 point gap in 4 games is a serious meltdown that we've never seen before.

The thought of Carlos Tevez smiling and lifting the title after his 5 month golf holiday is sickening for real football in this country.

City didn't play that well, only Toure, Kompany and Nasri really turned up. One set piece was the difference. They were fortune United got the tactics and line up wrong, then made the subs far to late.

Still think City have a lot to do to win it, they've already buckled under pressure before and Newcastle away is a tough game. The pressure is going to be unreal on Sunday.

Ironicly, we can thank Tevez for giving us an exciting showdown. Had he not stropped off home, City would have had the title wrapped up months ago. ;)

And if Vidic & Fletcher hadn't missed over half the season, (through no fault of their own), ......................................?
