Manchester Area 24th/26th June

Got a couple of meetings in Manchester on 25th of June so was planing on going the day before and getting a game maybe on the Wednesday 24th and Friday 26th as i have arranged a game on the way back up on Saturday at Western Gailes.

any recommendations ?

Are you at the airport or Manchester city centre?

If airport - Delamere is only 30 mins away, great course, similar to Lanark (if you've played there), not too bad traffic wise if you get on the road by 4.00. Twilight deals also.

If city centre, Manchester Golf club (northeastern Manchester).

Hotel is about 10m from airport, you wont be wanting to play golf just enjoy the theatre of dreams......... :lol:

No there at least £20 each way in a taxi

Lymm, Warrington or Dunham forest are maybe within £20 distance, but that is probably £20 each way. Junior would know better, though.

There are loads of courses within 15 minutes of the Airport closest being Styal or Ringway.

The football hotel is not far from the city centre, and approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport on a good day. But between the Hotel and the Airport there are around 7 courses all reasonable price and all nice parkland tracks.

Will gladly take you round Manchester, and likely provide transport, but Wednesday isn't likely possible as Comp on and the earliest I can squeeze out of work is 3:00pm. Work is 1/2 hour from hotel.

Thursday is out as the meeting will take up most of the day and then the 2nd lot are taking me for Dinner after

From your hotel mate, Delamere is a bit of a trek, maybe 45 mins/£50 in a taxi. From the airport, I'd say it's 30 mins and slightly cheaper.

Based on where your staying, I'd say Ringway is the best course and other ones within 15 or so minutes are Withington, Sale, Didsbury, Davyhulme and Northenden (although I'm not a fan of Northenden per say).

I'm travelling myself that week, otherwise I'd have happily picked you up and hosted at Lymm, (a decent enough track, prob on a par with those I mention above). That said, I can see the belts tightening at work, so if my travel plans change bud, I'll give you a shout as soon as I can.
