Manchester 10K

I did the Blackpool 10k last Sunday. I was aiming for 55 mins and actually did it in 51 so was pretty chuffed. Tips would be to not start too fast, try to keep a steady pace and check every Km that you are on track. Concentrate on your breathing once you get up to your steady speed.

Good luck !!

For distances such as this I suggest taking the car.

I don't understand the infatuation with running stupid long distances. Nothing in nature runs that far.

If I was ever (and it's about as unlikely as Palace winning the Premiership) to enter the marathon, I'd walk it. With my power trolley. Stacked full of sugary drinks and chocolate.

People soil themselves running these distances!!! Why, on God's green earth, would you put yourself through such wibble???

Good luck though..... :p

Errm, Perhaps the sponsorship of some £650 for my Captains charity (Trinty Hospice Blackpool and Cancer Research UK) had something to do with it. :D :D

As for OP..... How did you do?

Cheers. The thing is my little sister did it in 59 minutes last year, and I'm on target for 1 hour 10 minutes, so I will need to do 6 minute KMs!

How did you get on mate?

I'm almost 100% sure you will have beaten your predicted time as the adreniline will have sped you up considerably.
